Arjun’s letter provocative and unwarranted: Jamia alumni Posted: 24 Mar 2010 07:40 AM PDT By TCN News New Delhi: Jamia Alumni Association of Riyadh strongly condemned the letter written by former HRD Minister Arjun Singh to the Prime Minister regarding the minority character of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI). In a letter to the Prime Minister, former minister said that giving reservation to Muslims in JMI may turn this institution into the hands of the fundamentalist forces. Reacting strongly to this letter, Murshid Kamal, president of Jamia Alumni Assoication of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia said that it is "provocative, unwarranted and uncalled for." |
