| Fifteen injured during protest against cow slaughter Posted: 25 Apr 2010 09:21 AM PDT By IANS, New Delhi : Fifteen people, including five policemen, were injured during a protest over cow slaughter in Vijay Vihar area of outer Delhi Sunday, police said. The local residents started protesting Sunday morning after carcasses of five cows were reportedly found in the Lal Quarter area of Vijay Vihar for the second consecutive day. The protesters claimed it was third such case in a fortnight. They raised slogans against the administration and demanded action into the incident.

| Alaknanda residents allege police inaction on mosque construction Posted: 25 Apr 2010 03:50 AM PDT By IANS, New Delhi : Residents in south Delhi's Alaknanda area Sunday complained of police inaction over alleged illegal construction in a local mosque. Some 10-15 residents protested Sunday morning near Madni Mosque located in the Aravali Apartments complex alleging that the room the construction of which was begun by the mosque authorities Saturday night to expand its premises into the residential area was in violation of court restrictions.
