"The state machinery is working on war-footing to provide benefits of government schemes to backward classes and dalits but for muslims they are not answerable to anyone, the CM should personally look into the matter for the welfare of Muslims," retorted Jawwad. |

Ramzan is also a time when we focus on self-reformation, spiritual cleansing and enlightenment. People enthusiasm toward religious activity is unmatched during Ramzan. But same zeal is not visible while paying Zakat, which is one of the five pillars of Islam. |

Nanavati commission probing the 2002 riot cases was Wednesday deferred till Sep 7. Jan Sangharsh Manch (JSM), an NGO representing the riot victims, approached the commission afresh after the Gujarat High Court direction July 23. The high court asked the riot panel to "look into the matter after taking into consideration facts in their record". |

Prajapati's killing was an integral part of the criminal conspiracy behind abduction and killing of Sohrabuddin Sheikh and his wife Kausarbi in 2005, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) told the court in an affidavit filed last week. |

Justice Z.K. Saiyed rejected the bail plea of Raju Jirawala, owner of Arham farm house in Ahmedabad, on the ground that the investigation into the case was still in progress. His plea was rejected by a lower court earlier. Raju is the brother of Bharatiya Janata Party municipal corporator from Ahmedabad Surinder Jirawala. |

Acharya said that People's Democratic Party chief Abdul Nasir Maudany had a hand in the twin blasts at a stadium here in April, the city police chief said Wednesday it has not been proved. "I would not like to comment on the home minister's statements," Bangalore city Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari told reporters here. "However, Maudany's role in the stadium explosions has not been proved so far," he added. |

Nevertheless it shows how many Muslims think and treat non-Muslims as kafirs. It is, therefore, necessary to throw some light on this issue. |
