In this competition any person having age above 15 years can participate. In this Quran understanding competition, after registration, participants have to finish the entire Quran with meaning at Masjid or home, and those who have already completed Quran with meaning can participate in written test based on information regarding Quran. |

Sources told Agence India Press that Abdul Ahad Jan held a meeting with the chief minister Omar Abdullah at his official residence in Srinagar. "The meeting was about ten to five minutes and then Chief Minister ordered his immediate release," sources said. |

No anticipatory bail for Maudany as he is already arrested: SC Posted: 17 Aug 2010 02:24 AM PDT By TCN News, Thiruvananthapuram: The Supreme Court rejected the anticipatory bail plea submitted by Abdunnasir Maudany, accused in the Bengaluru blast case, citing that it was not possible now as he was already arrested. The SC added that Maudany could apply for bail in the court where hearing would be held. Maudany also could inform the court if he had any health problems. Meanwhile, the PDP has called for observing a black day tomorrow in the state in potest against the arrest of Maudany. The party has also called for hartal in Kannur and Kasargod districts. |

"The varsity will be used as 'Special Training Centre' and 'Special Area Games' for junior level trainees," JMI media coordinator Simi Malhotra said. She said schools and colleges, which are actively involved in sports, have adequate infrastructure and a history of producing national and international sportspersons, are eligible for this scheme. |

The arrest was made inside the Anvarssery campus when Maudany was in the vehicle to go to court. A big team of Kerala police is accompanying the Karnataka police. Today is the deadline set by Bengaluru Chief Additional Metropolitan Magistrate for the non-bailable arrest warrant issued against Maudany. |

One more youth dies in Kashmir, toll rises to 58 Posted: 16 Aug 2010 11:25 PM PDT By IANS, Srinagar : A 20-year-old man succumbed to his injury in this Jammu and Kashmir summer capital Tuesday, taking the toll in the ongoing unrest since June 11 to 58 even as authorities lifted curfew from the valley. Mohammad Abbas Dhobi died in the Soura Medical Institute here in the morning. He was allegedly severely beaten by the troopers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in south Kashmir Anantnag town Friday during a stone pelting incident. His body was handed over to his relatives by the police. |

After spending eight years in prison on charges of being involved in Coimbatore bombing, he was absolved of all charges and released by the courts. Now, once again he is on the verge of arrests for his alleged role in Bangalore bomb blast of 2008. He is accused number 31 in that case and Karnataka police is in Kerala to arrest him.
