Three Kashmir newspapers allowed to resume publication Posted: 06 Jul 2010 11:12 AM PDT By IANS, Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir government Tuesday lifted its ban on three Jammu newspapers, imposed July 1 for spreading misinformation, following a written undertaking by their owners. Jammu District Magistrate M.K. Dwivedi set aside the conditional order of forfeiture and suspension of publication of three dailies "Early Times", "Glimpses of Future" and "The Shadow", an official statement said. The district magistrate had suspended their publication for featuring "news which was not based on facts and as a result, misinformation was spread across the state". |
