Manipur Muslim picked, killed in fake encounter by Assam Rifles Posted: 01 May 2010 05:12 AM PDT By TCN News, Imphal: In another brazen show of cruelty and misuse of power, Assam Rifles jawans abducted unarmed Fazeruddin (45) from his home in Imphal in front of his family and later murdered and claimed to have killed him in an encounter. The incident that took place in January this year has once again horrified locals who have seen various such cases in the past. |

‘Fed-up’ SIMI will not fight ban Posted: 01 May 2010 03:44 AM PDT By TwoCircles.net Staff Reporter New Delhi: The banned Students Islamic Movement of India has decided not to fight the ban. Appearing before the Delhi High Court tribunal today in Delhi, SIMI lawyer Jawahar Raja told the tribunal that the group is not interested in contesting the ban as the government does not respect verdict of the tribunal. On February 7, 2010, SIMI was banned fifth time by the central government for alleged terror activities. |
One more Hindu extremist arrested for Ajmer Dargah blast Posted: 01 May 2010 02:34 AM PDT By IANS, Jaipur : A second man with links to a Hindu rightwing group has been arrested for alleged involvement in the 2007 bombing at the revered Ajmer Dargah Sharif that killed three people, police sources in Rajasthan said Saturday. The Anti-Terrorist Squad of the Rajasthan Police arrested Chandreshekhar in neighbouring Madhya Pradesh. His arrest comes close on the heels of the arrest of Devendra Gupta from Ajmer Wednesday. |

Earlier many Muslims could be seen on the post of District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, Vice Chancellor etc. But now it is hard to find minority officers on these posts. There are 37 districts and 13 universities in Bihar. |
One held for Ajmer Dargah blast, more arrests likely: ATS Posted: 30 Apr 2010 10:36 PM PDT By IANS, Jaipur: The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Rajasthan police has arrested a person with links to some right-wing Hindu groups in connection with the 2007 bomb blast in the Ajmer Dargah Sharif, police said Friday. The ATS said more arrests would be made soon. Three people were killed and at least 30 injured when a bomb exploded near the Ahata-e-Noor, a courtyard on the premises of the Dargah of Sufi Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, on Oct 11, 2007. The accused Devendra Gupta, hailing from Bihari Ganj in Ajmer, was arrested Wednesday night, police officials told IANS. |
