BSP expels Mukthar Ansari, brother Posted: 16 Apr 2010 08:44 AM PDT By IANS, Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati Friday expelled criminal-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari and his brother Afzal from the primary membership of the party. Both brothers are at present in jail. "Ansari's involvement in criminal activities led our party president to take the decision to expel him," a BSP press release released here said. |

Overcoming all pressure to get involved in the trade of the area, she studied till matriculation, and then launched anti-trafficking drive. This past March she won Real Hero award from CNN-IBN and Reliance for her heroic deed. |

The camp organised by the Sir Syed Forum, as the group is called, at the Sati Kund temple in Kankhal near here coincided with Baisakhi and Mesh Sakranti - two of the most auspicious days for taking a bath in the Ganga during the Kumbh Mela. |

Munauwar (60) and his wife Rubina (55) have pleaded for mercy killing in their letter sent to President Pratibha Patil, Uttar Pradesh Governor B.L. Joshi, state Chief Minister Mayawati and other authorities of Mau district, about 300 km from Lucknow. "We don't want to live any more. It's miserable. We are not even able to arrange food for ourselves on a daily basis," Munauwar told reporters in Mau Friday. |
