Sir Syed Forum, as the group is called, set up a similar health camp March 15-16 to provide medical facilities to the pilgrims. |

Court to hear plea on allowing worship at Ayodhya Posted: 09 Apr 2010 07:15 AM PDT By IANS, New Delhi : The Supreme Court Friday agreed to hear a plea for easing restrictions imposed by the authorities on worshiping at the make-shift Ram temple built at the demolished Babri mosque site in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya town. "We will consider your plea," a bench of Chief Justice K.G. Balakrishnan and Justice Deepak Verma assured former union minister Subramanian Swamy. The bench gave the assurance in response to his plea for early hearing of his application, pending in the court since early 2009. |

Police Commissioner A.K. Khan told reporters that curfew would remain in force from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. in areas under 25 police stations. The decision, which will come into effect from Friday, was taken after Friday prayers passed off peacefully. "The prayers were offered in a peaceful atmosphere and no untoward incident was reported from anywhere," Khan said. |

Several Muslim organizations including All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) have lodged strong reservation over certain clause of the proposed CVB. The board will soon hold a meeting of Muslim and other like minded Member of Parliaments (MPs) in Delhi to continue the pressure for withdrawal of the CVB in present format besides inclusion of their suggestions. |
