Talking to media on the sidelines of his visit to Khir Bhawani here, the Chief Minister said that many attempts had been made to damage this trait but people foiled the ill designs time and again exhibiting their firm faith in Kashmiriyat. |

Local Muslims greeted them with sweets as part of a centuries' old practice in the state where the two religions have traditionally lived in harmony. The temple in Tullamulla village, about 25 km from here, is dedicated to Ragnya Devi, one of the many incarnations of Goddess Durga. |

"The decision is politically motivated by the new government. Chidambaram said. "We discussed all pending issues and options before the government after the trial court judgement. We heard all concerned and reached some tentative conclusions," Chidambaram told reporters here after the first session of the GoM's meeting Saturday. |
