"There can be no justification for such indiscriminate use of force, which we condemn," said External Affairs Ministry in a press statement. |

The Srinagar district administration Monday ordered the police to seal the Alsafa newspaper office here and asked its editor Ashraf Shaban to appear before the district magistrate June 23. The daily in its May 30 issue carried a photograph of Gandhi's visit to Jammu with a caption derogating Soz and his daughter. |

When the police intervened the rioters, mostly from Gahlot's Bandhu Mali caste, pelted stones on police team. In subsequent police firing a rioter was killed. |

AMU, German experts to offer free treatment for cleft lip Posted: 31 May 2010 10:31 PM PDT By IANS, Lucknow : With the help of a team of German experts, the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will offer free treatment for cleft lip, palate and correction of nose deformities, an official said Monday. "The varsity's department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has tied up with experts from Germany to offer the treatment that will be free of cost," AMU's Assistant Public Relations Officer Zeeshan Ahmad told reporters in Aligarh, some 300 km from Lucknow. |
