Mumbai: ANHAD will observe 60 years of Indian Constitution and World Peace Day in its own way. The civil rights group will organize a program 'Celebrating Democracy' comprising various literary and fine art competitions for college students in Mumbai and Thane.

The competitions of Essay Writing, Poetry Writing, Poster making and Painting will have one
theme – 'Peace, Justice, Equality and Diversity'.

The essay can be in any of four languages – Hindi, English, Marathi or Urdu and of 800-1500

Mumbai: On the International Quds Day yesterday, the city-based Bharat Bachao Andolan called
the world community to save Palestine from the oppression of Israel, terming it a humanitarian

Ramadan gets a warm reception in Maldives with numerous extraordinary rituals. In this Muslim country long before the holy month people stat preparation of welcoming 'Rodha Mahu', Dhivehi name for the month of fast. Men and women go to nearby uninhabited islands to collect milky white gravels, with which their courtyards are being decorated. Repainting walls is not a common practice here; however the pristine beach like appearance of house premises substitutes all other shortcomings.
