Court notice to CBI on Amit Shah associate's bail plea Posted: 03 Sep 2010 09:12 AM PDT By IANS, Gandhinagar, Sep 3 (IANS) The Gujarat High Court Friday issued notice to the CBI on the anticipatory bail plea of Yashpal Chudasama, a close aide of former minister Amit Shah, an accused in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh staged shoutout case. Ajay Patel, another aide of the former minister, has also filed for anticipatory bail but the matter is yet to come up. The notice is returnable Sep 13. |

Salauddin is 1975-batch IAS officer. Salauddin Ahmed was born in Lucknow in 1952 and was the Additional Chief Secretary prior to his promotion. Ahmed is an MA in modern history. He has also a degree in public management from University of Sussex, UK. |

Among other things, the meeting convened by Peace Mumbai, a network of social organisations, called for an immediate withdrawal of security forces from the civilian areas of Jammu and Kashmir where over 60 people have been killed, mostly in firing by security forces, in the last three months of turmoil. |

A division bench of judges Jayant Patel and Abhilasha Kumari adjourned the hearing after the Supreme Court appointed SIT headed by R.K. Commission probing civilian deaths in Kashmir starts inquiry Posted: 02 Sep 2010 07:20 PM PDT By Agence India Press Srinagar: A judicial commission appointed by the state government in July to probe 17 civilian deaths in the Kashmir Valley between June 11 to July 19 this year on Thursday started its process of inquiry. Secretary to the commission of inquiry Tariq Ahmad Banday issued a public notice, seeking information from persons, groups or organisations having any knowledge about incidents which led to the killing of 17 civilians, beginning with the death of 17-year-old Tufail Ahmad Mattoo after he was allegedly hit by a teargas shell at Rajouri Kadal on June 11. |
